Reaching out for help can be difficult, but it is also courageous and something to be proud of. Whether you have never been in therapy before or have made the decision to return, my goal is to meet you wherever you are on your journey. I will listen deeply to understand your story and what has caused you to seek help, and bring empathy, curiosity, and judgment-free compassion to support you.

Using skills from different approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused therapy, I’ll take an integrative, strengths-based approach to our work, tailoring and adapting to meet your specific needs. We will address your concerns in our time together, helping you to develop skills and strategies to navigate life’s challenges, and apply that growth in the world outside of our sessions.

I know what it looks like when someone does not feel they are in a good state of mind or know what steps to take to get there. I decided to become a counselor to be a part of the solution for those in need, and it is deeply fulfilling to see someone I’ve helped create change and feel more in control of their lives.

I am currently working toward my Master’s degree and licensure in the Mental Health Counseling Program at Hunter College. Before this, I received my Bachelor’s in Psychology with a concentration in Africana Studies from Stony Brook University. Through my educational background and life experiences, I’ve developed a great appreciation for cultural competency as a counselor, making space for and honoring the needs of a diverse range of cultural, racial, and sexual identities.

I enjoy working with clients from different backgrounds, and I especially like supporting those in young adulthood, as I know this can be a very overwhelming period in life.

Everyone has a story worth telling and we all deserve to have someone to listen and advocate for us. I look forward to being that person for you.
