When investing in your overall health, it is vital to find a professional who you feel is as equally invested in you. That is the first step in creating a therapeutic relationship to achieve optimal understanding and healing. A relationship built on trust and empathy can contribute to life-affirming awareness and life-changing experiences. My goal is that by the end of each session, you will feel a sense of hope and gain clarity and the motivation to keep learning and growing. I will strive to meet you where you are on your journey and help you get to where you desire to be.

I aim to provide a space where you can be vulnerable without judgment, and to cultivate an authentic relationship with you that promotes deeper awareness, growth, and a sense of agency in identifying and realizing your goals.

I take a holistic approach to my work that honors your unique personality and experiences, while supporting new ways of understanding, thinking and being. Though the cognitive-behavioral framework is my main modality, no one modality fits all. With that in mind, I work to fully explore what works best for you.

I hold a Master of Arts in Counseling for Mental Health and Wellness from New York University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from St. John’s University. While attending both institutions, I gained a multicultural perspective on my work and life. Your race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation and socioeconomic status can all have an enormous impact on how you navigate life, and it is important to connect those elements. Though it does not define an individual, multicultural competence is key. I have counseled people from all walks of life, and those interactions inform my empathetic lens. We are each deserving of care and understanding.

As part of my self-care, I enjoy going to concerts – and hope to be able to do so again safely soon. I love the way music makes people feel, and the way it makes me feel. Bringing like-minded people together, music creates a sense of communion and connection. These kinds of experiences have molded the way I view human behavior: though we have our differences, we have a lot more in common than meets the eye.
