The biggest gamble you can take in life is exploring the fears, questions and mysteries that shape your life and worldview. By venturing down this path via therapy, you can consider and challenge the narratives that we all create for ourselves, whether for comfort, safety, defense, or what we believe to be our truth.

Growing up in a culture and family without having mental health as a priority made me realize that everyone should be able to seek and receive support for their mental wellness without stigma or obstacles.

Through my undergraduate studies of Culture Deviance with a minor in Counseling from John Jay College of Criminal Justice, I found my calling to become a therapist. I am currently pursuing my Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling at Hunter College.

My approach is informed by a multifaceted lens. Modalities such as cognitive-behavioral and mindfulness, and a person-centered approach allow for you to have control over your healing journey.

I often use a cognitive-behavioral approach because it allows you to be aware of and shift those behaviors and emotions that might hinder your growth. I will incorporate other modalities in supporting you while encouraging you to implement self-care practices as well.

I have worked for five years in the human services field as a social worker. I have helped those struggling with substance use, relational issues, domestic violence, family dynamics, depression, trauma, and other life difficulties. I am available to work with individuals, couples, and families from all demographics. I am especially interested in supporting adults 18 and over from marginalized communities.

When you are ready to explore your own personal challenges, I will be here to support you on your healing journey.
