Taking the first steps to find a therapist can be challenging, but facing this challenge has great potential for great reward. My role as a therapist is to act as your co-pilot as you embark on a journey of self-discovery, self-awareness and greater self-compassion. First stop: Helping you to recognize and build upon your strengths.

Using an integrative approach that is based in cognitive behavioral theory, my goal is to connect with you, to get to know your unique history, perspective and experience, and to provide helpful strategies to support you through uncertainty, change and difficult relationships. I work with clients from all walks of life, but I am especially interested in supporting young women struggling with difficult life transitions, anxiety, and depression.

I hold a bachelor’s degree in Education Studies from Spelman College, and I am currently pursuing a master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling at Hunter College.

I found my passion for the mental health field while working in education and social-emotional learning. There, I became deeply invested in helping my students and their families when moving through trying life transitions. In that role, I’ve learned the importance of listening deeply, and creating space for others to understand their experience and express their emotions.

I will bring an empathic, non-judgmental and attuned ear to our sessions. I am here to support you and encourage you on your therapeutic journey. I look forward to working together.
